On May 1, the Mountain Valley Pipeline failed during hydro-static testing, which runs water through the pipe to ensure that there are no leaks or flaws.
But setbacks for the pipeline don’t stop there. On Friday, May 10, the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality cited the Mountain Valley Pipeline for environmental violations, especially focusing those violations on erosion and sediment control.
Join Wild Virginia and allied groups on Thursday, May 23rd at 7pm for updates on this destructive project.
Wild Virginia and allied groups will hold an online program to discuss the status of the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) and actions groups and individuals may take in the coming months to protect communities and the environment from further damage caused by the project.
We will also briefly report on the MVP Southgate project and Transco's proposed Southeast Supply Enhancement project.
