
ACT NOW TO HELP PROTECT VIRGINIA'S ROADLESS AREAS AND GAIN NEW WILDERNESS:
Write a letter to Congress to support the Roadless Area Conservation Act!
The Virginia Ridge and Valley Act 2007 (HR 1011 and S. 570) was recently introduced into Congress. Congressman Boucher and Senators Warner and Webb have introduced the bill in the House and Senate. This bill would protect over 55,000 acres on the Jefferson National Forest as Wilderness or National Scenic Area. For background: [read more].
Please thank your Congressperson and Senators for supporting this legislation and write to Bob Goodlatte, Virgil Goode, and Eric Cantor and ask them to cosponsor the bill. Virginia is for Wilderness and they need to hear from YOU! (It's not hard, YOU can do it!)
